Explore
techniques for bowls and hollow forms that bring grain, surface treatment,
and form together in harmony. Learn how to work with green wood,
conceptualize what's in a log, manipulate grain patterns on the lathe,
refine the form, and create surfaces that look and feel good. We'll also
explore finishing options and simple carving. As you journey through a
sequence of projects, you'll be encouraged to use your creativity. This is
an intermediate-level class and recent woodturning experience is required.
